Rally for immigrant rights at the Capitol on May 1, 2006. Undocumented workers galore airing their grievances in Denver, in addition to, on the same day, in L.A., Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C., among other cities.
Marchers kept arriving after the photo below was taken. It was the most people I'd ever personally seen rally at the Capitol: an estimated 75,000 turned out.
According to Denver's Channel 7 News: "After last year’s massive march, state lawmakers passed legislation targeting immigrants, and there have been a series of controversial immigration raids."
